The iPhone Essentials workshop is designed to teach you how to better use your Smartphone camera functions when photographing landscapes, architecture, interiors, portraiture, food, as well as documenting objects and artwork etc. Critiques are invaluable in helping photographers evolve their editing, and compositional skills., Having a professional photographer/University educator is the best way to get constructive/objective feedback. Historically, critiques are a tried and proven method for teaching students how to refine their aesthetic and technical skills. Photo-editing will also be part of this informative workshop. Snapseed is a free editing app that will help you finalize your imagery by adjusting saturation, color balance, highlights, shadows, sharpening etc. Photo-editing is a must for any photographer wishing to create poignant imagery. “Any photograph that goes unedited is unfinished.” Snapseed is the best free smartphone photo-editing app available. Photo-editing will help you fine-tune your photos by adjusting saturation, highlights, shadows, perspective, cropping, etc., while creatively enhancing the mood of your photographs. Part 1: Composition/Snapseed: This workshop begins with a slide presentation dedicated to understanding composition, the essential aspect of photography. Following the slide show, I will project of my smartphone touch screen on your Zoom monitor so that you can work alongside me on your smartphone to understand how to edit your photos using Snapseed. This process makes it easy and straightforward to learn photo-editing online. Part 2: Critique.
